About the Hotel
Located in the holy city of Medina, Le Méridien Medina is a premium Marriott-branded hotel that combines contemporary luxury with authentic Saudi hospitality. The hotel enjoys a strategic location near Al Masjid Al Nabawi , offers complimentary shuttle services for guests, and serves both religious and business travelers. The property features elegantly appointed guest rooms and suites, multiple food and beverage outlets, meeting and event facilities, and is situated opposite the King Salman International Convention Center , making it a preferred destination for corporate events, conferences, and pilgrims alike. 
Le Méridien Medina is recognized for delivering exceptional guest experiences, refined service standards, and strong connections to the cultural and spiritual significance of the city. 
Position Summary
We are seeking an experienced and dynamic General Manager to lead Le Méridien Medina. The successful candidate will be a seasoned hospitality executive with a proven background in luxury or premium hotel operations, strong commercial acumen, and the ability to drive operational excellence while maintaining the highest standards of guest satisfaction.
The General Manager will be responsible for the overall leadership, profitability, guest experience, associate engagement, and strategic direction of the hotel. Given the hotel's unique market and guest profile, fluency in Arabic is mandatory , and a deep understanding of the Saudi hospitality landscape is highly desirable.
Saudi Nationals are strongly preferred; however, exceptional international candidates with the required experience will also be considered.
Preferred Profile
Saudi National preferred.
Prior experience leading a hotel within Saudi Arabia or the GCC.
Experience managing properties serving both corporate and religious travel segments.
Strong understanding of luxury guest expectations and service excellence.
Proven success working with hotel owners and asset management teams
Candidate Profile
Required Qualifications
Advanced hospitality or leadership qualifications preferred.
Fluent in Arabic and English (written and spoken) is mandatory.
Strong understanding of the Saudi Arabian hospitality market.
Experience Required
Minimum 8-10 years of progressive hotel leadership experience .
Minimum 5 years' experience as a General Manager within an upscale, premium, luxury, or internationally branded hotel.
Proven success leading hotels with significant rooms inventory, food and beverage operations, and meeting/event facilities.
Demonstrated track record of delivering strong financial results and guest satisfaction performance.
JOB SPECIFIC TASKS
Business Strategy Development
Stays current with industry trends and monitors strengths and weakness of competition; explores new business opportunities; develops business plans designed to maximize property customer satisfaction, profitability, and market share; ensures property business plans are aligned with the hotel’s business strategies; translates Marriott global strategic plan into one that can be executed on property.
Business Strategy Execution
Executes business plans designed to maximize property customer satisfaction, profitability, and market share; ensures that property business plans and employees are aligned with business strategies; holds property leadership team accountable for successful delivery of business plans; experiments with new ideas and takes calculated risks to improve guest satisfaction and profitability; evaluates the success of property business strategies to inform future business plan enhancements; continually ensures business plans and actions have a positive impact on property performance.
Sales and Marketing
Works closely with Sales and Marketing team to develop revenue generating strategies for property; identifies new business leads, develops tailored sales approach, and actively pursues leads with Sales and Marketing team; validates that sales and marketing strategy is aligned with brand strategy and is effectively executed against established goals; verifies that property leaders understand and leverage Marriott demand engines to full potential; augments guest preference for property through booking ease and quality interactions with sales force.
Talent Management and Organizational Capability
Creates a cohesive and high-performance Executive Committee that continuously strives for positive results and improvement; coaches Executive Committee by providing specific feedback and holds them accountable for performance; creates learning and development opportunities for employees; creates and effectively executes development plans for both direct reports based on their individual strengths, development needs, and career aspirations; ensures all managers are doing the same for their direct reports; identifies resource needs to strengthen property team; creates succession plans for future job openings; actively supports the staffing process;
